Large Monitor

This large 42.5-inch monitor is equipped with an LCD panel compatible with 3840 x 2160 (UHD) resolution.

Multiple Window Display

Supports Video Display and Power Supply with a Single USB Type-Cยฎ (hereinafter USB-Cยฎ) Cable

This product is equipped with a USB-C connector and supports the transmission of video signals (DisplayPortโ„ข Alt Mode) as well as power supply (USB Power Delivery).

It supplies a maximum of 94 W of power to a connected notebook PC when used as an external monitor.

Note

  • To display video signals, the connected device must support transmission of video signals (DisplayPort Alt Mode).
  • To use the charging function, the connected device must support device charging by using USB Power Delivery.
  • Only when the following USB cables are used, a maximum of 94 W of power can be supplied:
  • CC200SS-5A or CC200SSW-5A
  • CC100 (Optional accessory)
  • Connected devices can be charged even when the monitor is in power saving mode.
  • When "Compatibility Mode" is set to "On" in the "Administrator Settings" menu, connected devices can be charged even when the power of the monitor is turned off (except when the main power switch is off).

Easy Operation with Remote Control

Various adjustments/settings are possible with the included remote control. In an environment where multiple EV4340X units are installed nearby, you can individually operate up to four units of EV4340X by setting the ID of each monitor and remote control (see Using Multiple EV4340X Units).

Share USB Devices Between Two PCs

If two PCs are connected to a single monitor, you can switch and use USB devices such as a mouse and keyboard connected to the monitor between the two PCs (see Share USB Devices Between Two PCs).

Reduction of Power Consumption

This product provides a function that automatically adjusts the screen brightness to reduce power consumption *1. Power Reduction, CO2 Reduction, and Eco Performance Level can be checked on the "EcoView Settings" menu (see Conserving Energy).

Docking Station Function

This product is equipped with a LAN port and USB hub so that it can be used as a docking station. By connecting a USB-C cable, you can create a stable network environment even on notebook PCs or tablet devices that are not equipped with LAN ports. You can also use USB-compatible peripheral devices and charge smartphones (see Using the Docking Station Function).

Front

  1. Speakers

Outputs audio.

  1. Remote control receiver

Receives signals from the remote control.

  1. Ambient light sensor

Detects ambient brightness. If you use Auto EcoView, the screen brightness is automatically adjusted according to the ambient brightness (see Auto EcoView).

  1. Operation switches

Displays menus. Operate the switches according to the operation guide (see Basic Operation of the Setting Menu).

  1. Power switch

Turns the power on or off.

  1. Power indicator

Indicates the operation status of the monitor.

White: Normal operation mode

Orange: Power saving mode

Off: Main power / power off

Back

  1. Handle

This handle is used for transportation.

  1. Security lock slot

Complies with Kensingtonโ€™s MicroSaver security system.

  1. Main power switch

Turns the main power on or off.

Connects the power cord.

  1. HDMI connector

Connects to a PC with HDMI output.

  1. DisplayPort connector

Connects to a PC with DisplayPort output.

  1. USB-C connector
    (upstream)

Connects to a PC with USB-C output. This also transmits the USB signal that is necessary for using software that requires a USB connection or the docking station function (see Using the Docking Station Function).

  1. LAN port

Connects to a network hub or router with a LAN cable in order to use the network connection of the docking station function (see Using the Docking Station Function).

  1. USB-B connector
    (upstream)

Connects using a USB cable when using software that requires a USB connection.

  1. USB-A connector
    (downstream)

Connects to a peripheral USB device (see Using the Docking Station Function).

Connects to headphones.

Turns the power on or off.

  1. (PbyP switch button)

Switches to PbyP/PinP display when in single window display (see Switch to PbyP Display, Switch to PinP Display).

Displays/exits the "PbyP / PinP Settings" menu when in PbyP/PinP display (see PbyP Settings, PinP Settings).

  1. (Input signal switch button)

Switches input signals (see Switching Input Signals).

Switches to single window display when in PbyP/PinP display.

  1. (USB port switch button)

Switches the USB (upstream) port to be enabled when in PbyP/PinP display (see Switching USB Ports (PbyP Display), Switching USB Ports (PinP Display)).

  1. (Voice switch button)

Switches the audio on the screen to be output when in PbyP/PinP display (see Switching the Audio (PbyP Display), Switching the Audio (PinP Display)).

  1. MENU

Displays/closes the Setting menu.

  1. RETURN

When operating a menu, returns to the previous menu screen.

  1. ENTER

Confirms the adjustment items of each menu, and saves adjustment results.

  1. (VOL+) / (BRIGHT+) / (VOL-) / (BRIGHT-)

Selects items in the Setting menu, adjusts or sets the functions.

  1. (EcoView setting button)

Displays/closes the "EcoView Settings" menu.

  1. PAIRING

Displays the "Monitor ID" and "Remote ID".

Set the ID of the remote control by operating the cursor buttons.

This is not required when using a single monitor.

About the Remote Control

How to attach and remove batteries

  1. Turn the bottom of the remote control upwards and slide it in the direction of the arrow to remove the cover.
  2. Insert batteries (AAA size x 2) according to the "+ (positive)" and "- (negative)" poles indicated on the remote control.
  3. Place the cover back on.

*If you want to remove the batteries, remove them in step 2.
