Introduction

This chapter describes the features of the monitor and the name of each control. See the Setup Guide for information on the accessories included with this product.

Controls and Functions

Front

  1. Built-in calibration sensor

This sensor is used to perform monitor calibration. When SelfCalibration is executed, the calibration sensor automatically operates and regularly calibrates the monitor (see SelfCalibration).

  1. Operation switches

Displays menus. Operate the switches according to the operation guide (see Basic Operation of the Setting Menu).

  1. Power switch

Turns the power on or off.

Touching the switch turns on the power.

The switch indicator lights up when you turn the power on. The indicator color differs depending on the monitor's operation status.

White: Normal operation mode

Orange: Power saving mode

OFF: Main power/power off

  1. Handle

This handle is used for transportation.

  1. Security lock slot

Complies with Kensington's MicroSaver security system.

  1. Lock button

Use this button to remove the monitor from the stand.

  1. Headphone jack

Connects to headphones.

  1. USB-A connector
    (downstream)

Connects to a peripheral USB device (see Using the USB Hub Function).

  1. Cable holder

Holds the monitor cables.

  1. Stand*1

Adjusts the height and angle (tilt and swivel) of the monitor. The monitor can also be rotated vertically.

  1. Main power switch

Turns the main power on or off.

Connects the power cord.

  1. SDI input terminal (BNC)

Connects a device with an SDI output terminal.

Supports 3G/HD-SDI.

  1. SDI output terminal (BNC)

Outputs the signal input to the SDI input terminal as is.

Supports 3G/HD-SDI.

Attention

Turn on the main power of the monitor when outputting a signal.

  1. HDMI connector

Connects to an external device with HDMI signal output.

  1. DisplayPortTM connector

Connects to an external device with DisplayPort signal output.

  1. USB-B connector
    (upstream)

Connects using a USB cable when using software that requires a USB connection. Connect a USB cable when using the USB hub function (see Using the USB Hub Function). The blue connector.

  1. A separate stand (or monitor arm) can be attached to this product by removing the stand.
